Former president Jacob Zuma has asked for his fraud and corruption trial related to the 1999 arms procurement deal, scheduled to resume in the Pietermaritzburg high court on Monday, to be postponed for a week.

Zuma is serving a 15-month jail sentence for contempt of court.
