Carl Abrahams, who was found guilty of murdering his estranged wife, Angelique Clarke-Abrahams, was on Monday sentenced to an effective 20-year prison sentence by judge Michelle Beneke in the East London High Court.
He was denied leave to appeal.
Angelique died at about 8am on September 3 2019, succumbing to injuries after she was badly beaten by Abrahams in late August of that year.
