WATCH | Buffalo City Metro workers attempt to disrupt council meeting

Hundreds of Buffalo City Metro workers tried to break into the East London City Hall on Tuesday morning in a desperate attempt to disrupt a special council meeting.
The workers affiliated to the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu) were protesting outside the hall demanding attention from the metro's highest decision-making body.
They want to be paid R100,000 per worker after BCM failed to fully implement a job evaluation process which was scheduled to start last year.
However the workers’ payout demand was not on the council’s agenda, resulting in the angry strikers.
Officials and councillors were left in a state of panic as the workers rattled the doors...
