The Daily Dispatch Fun Run is open to everyone to participate. The event is scheduled for Sunday, 15 September 2024, starting and finish at Orient pools, East London. Start is 09:00am.
All entrants must enter and register for the event. T-shirt and race number collection at Daily Dispatch, cnr Quenera Drive and St Helena Road, Triple Point, Beacon Bay, East London).

Online entries close at midnight on Wednesday , 11 September 2024.
T-shirts will be given to the first 500 entrants when collecting race numbers at Daily Dispatch offices, subject to t-shirt size availability. Entrants cannot be guaranteed that they will receive their preferred T-shirt size.
All entrants take part at their own risk.
Entrants must accept and adhere to safety instructions given by the traffic officials in their suburbs, event organisers or their representatives.
Should the event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organisers or sponsors control, NO REFUND of the entry fee will be issued.

Daily Dispatch Fun Run and Walk
Entries are open for the Daily Dispatch Fun Run which takes place on 15 September 2024. The event hosts a 4km and 8km route both starting and finishing at the Orient Pools, East London. Entries close on 13 September 2024.
This meaningful run aims to show support for individuals with disabilities. It serves as a reminder to be grateful for our abilities and to be inspired by those with disabilities as we run with them.

LATE ENTRIES:
Online entries close at midnight on 11 September 2024.
Late entries will be accepted at race pack collection on Friday, 13 September 2024 only. A late entry fee of R20.00 will be charged per entry. A portion will be donated to the Rehab 4 People with Disabilities, East London.

WAVIER/DISCLAIMER:
All information provided by entrants is deemed to be true and correct. Entrants confirm that they are fit and healthy enough to complete the distances they have chosen. They confirm that they understand that there may be risks related to running on public roads and pavements. The organisers, sponsors and other stakeholders will not be held liable for any injuries or other claims.
Entrants will abide by the rules and conditions of the event and will obey instructions from traffic officials, the South African Police Services or Metro police. Entrants will also observe the relevant Covid-19 protocols.
All entrants grant permission in terms of section 51 of the electronics communication transactions act 25 of 2002 for the free use of images of them participating in the event by means of photographs, video tapes, broadcasts and telecasts. All personal information will remain confidential in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (or POPI Act).
If the participant is a minor, (younger than 18), he or she may not participate unless his or her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) have agreed to be bound by these terms.
DISPUTES:
Any dispute by the parties involved in the event should be resolved through negotiation wherever possible. Notice of dispute should be given in writing. The objective is to settle the dispute within 10 (ten) business days from date of receipt of the notification.
If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation, it can be referred by either or both parties to the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (“AFSA”) for administered mediation, upon the terms set by the AFSA Secretariat.
Neither party may withdraw from this clause relating to dispute resolution. This does not, however, restrict the right of the parties to this agreement to approach the competent court for relief in the case where urgent relief is required.
JURISDICTION:
Any dispute is to be settled in accordance with the legal structure of the Republic of South Africa.
POPI COMPLIANCE:
Daily Dispatch, based at the Corner of Quenera Drive and St Helena Road, Beacon Bay, East London, 5205, will require certain personal information to process your entry into the Daily Dispatch Fun Run. The information will only be used for the purpose to communicate event-relevant information and for the promotion of future Fun Runs hosted by Daily Dispatch.
It will only be shared with third parties for purposes directly related to the Daily Dispatch Fun Run .
By providing this information you certify that you have provided it to Daily Dispatch voluntarily.
Failure to share the information means that your entry will not be processed for the Daily Dispatch Fun Run.
Participants may access their personal particulars which are in the possession of the organisers to update it if necessary.
Any complaints about the handling of your information should be lodged with the office of the Information Regulator, at IR@justice.gov.za.
