BCM by-elections off to smooth start

The fight to hold on to two of BCM's wards by the ANC and the DA respectively began with a smooth start  this morning.
The city is holding two by-elections to replace Ward 18 David Veane and Ward 21 councillor Mlandeli Ngabayena.
IEC has opened all its three voting stations as early as 7am at Ward 18. The DA MPLs have come out in numbers to support their candidate Jason McDowell, a businessman in the area.
MP and BCM constituency leader Kevin Mileham said although the party enjoys majority vote in the area it still brought all its energies.
"We don't take any election for granted. We are going all out to win. Our teams are committed and ready to assist the voters.
“We have a great candidate in Jason McDowell, and we look forward to seeing him take the ward and its concerns forward in Council," said Mileham...
