Mabuyane looks at province’s hard road ahead

Plea that ‘silent majority’ and business are given a chance

Eastern Cape premier Oscar Mabuyane says the governing ANC must clean up its mess and his provincial government would have to do “almost everything” from scratch in order to get the province back on track.

And, said the premier, unless government improved its image, business would not invest the billions of rands required to grow the economy. Government would also fail to win back the trust of the disaffected “silent majority” of voters who stayed away from polling stations in May...
