Tete breaks boxing record with fastest knockout
Tete landed a big right hook which floored Gonya in six seconds.
The referee began the count only to stop it midway and waved the fight off taking the duration of the bout to 11 seconds.
It beat the previous record held by Puerto Rican WBO super-bantamweight champion Daniel Jimenez who stopped Harald Geier in 17 seconds in 1994.
Tete is now chasing unification bouts with other world champions in the division including Irish Ryan Burnett who did not attend the fight even though it was held in his home town.
Burnett holds the IBF and WBA titles.
Tete is expected to arrive back home at 11: 30 am on Monday.
