Regions come out in support of Danny

With  only three months before the SA Football Association elective conference takes place, 30 regions from five provinces have made known their intentions to back Danny Jordaan for a third term.

Four provinces descended on Quigney in East London  after they were invited by the Safa-Eastern Cape provincial leadership to discuss, among other things, their stance on the national presidential race.

The meeting, which started with struggle songs like “Unity” and praise for Jordaan, concluded with all regions vowing to support the outgoing president saying  they would launch a strong campaign for Jordaan's re-election. At this stage there is little indication whether sexual abuse allegations against Jordaan in November would influence the election outcome next year.
