Warriors fight back against Lions at Buffalo Park
The Warriors were in the midst of a stirring fightback at the half way point of their innings against the Lions at Buffalo Park on Friday afternoon, with them sitting on 130/4 at the 25 over mark.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Warriors lost regular early wickets to sit on 63/4 in the 16th over, with Matthew Breetzke (15) and Lesiba Ngoepe (29) going out after good starts.
But a solid 63-run stand between former Hudson Park batsman Sinethemba Qeshile and Colin Ackermann looked to be dragging them out of trouble and setting up a good platform for the late overs.
Qeshile was on 35 off 29 balls and Ackermann on 31 off 43 at the halfway mark in the Warriors innings.
