Three people were wounded during a shooting outside the Gelvandale Magistrates Court at around 10.30 on Thursday morning.
According to witnesses on the scene‚ an unknown shooter approached people outside the court and fired three shots‚ wounding three people.
Police spokeswoman Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said the wounded ran into the court building while the shooter fled on foot.
Police are still on the scene trying to piece together what happened.
No arrests have been made yet.
