Members of the public have been evacuated from the home affairs offices in East London, this after a man collapsed and died inside.
The body is still inside, police have cordoned-off the entrance.
Home Affairs regional spokesman Ngenisile Stuurman the 47-year-old man visited the office for an ID application.
Stuurman said a family member has indicated that the deceased suffered from tuberculosis.
No reports of long queues and heat being the cause.
