FOR 26-year-old second-year university student Siyabulela Madikizela, attending circumcision school should have been the last thing on his mind.
Madikizela, from Madadana village in Bizana, was studying towards a teacher’s degree at Walter Sisulu University in Mthatha.
“It is the secrecy in these initiation schools that is killing our children,” she said.
She said her son had wanted to help build his family a home but now this would never happen.
“I don’t know what to do. This custom has robbed me of my pillar, I am all alone now with my other children.” — bonganif@dispatch.co.za
