ARMS deal critics Andrew Feinstein, Paul Holden, and Hennie Van Vuuren have withdrawn from the commission probing the 1999 multi-billion rand arms procurement deal.
“After careful consideration, with great disappointment we have decided to withdraw all participation in the Seriti Commission of Inquiry,” Van Vuuren told reporters in Pretoria today.
“We have not made our decision lightly.”
Van Vuuren said the decision was taken due to serious concerns the three had with the way the commission had conducted itself.
The commission, chaired by Judge Willie Seriti, was appointed by President Jacob Zuma three years ago to investigate alleged corruption in the arms deal.
