Farewell to sisters who impacted on many lives

The future was poorer without East London sisters Nolubabalo and Anitta Ncapo, tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on the N2 near Hemingways last Tuesday.

Music teacher Angela Kobus said Nolubabalo had matriculated in 2010 with distinctions in mathematics and life orientation.

“She was a member of our cultural society and sang in the choir. She was always late for rehearsals and had long eloquent explanations.

“The tables were turned when she was in charge of the register and it was her turn to listen to long speeches from other latecomers.”

Kobus said: “Nolus we have missed you and Anitta we miss you too.”

School principal Pat Rose thanked the Ncapo family for allowing the school to host the memorial service.

“The two bright young ladies were full of life and joy and they are now safely with God.”

Rose said grief at the sister’s loss was great and the turnout of mourners symbolised just how much they were loved and respected.

The sisters will be laid to rest on Saturday at a service at the City Life Church, formerly known as the Quigney Baptist Church. — zwangam@dispatch.co.za
