Sex romp goes wrong

An amorous security guard who used a Bhisho politician’s state home for a late morning romp has landed in hot water.

Now DA MPL Celeste Barker, who was due to move into the King William’s Town house next week, is demanding a new bed and that the security company be removed from the premises.

Barker made the startling discovery while inspecting the house on Tuesday ahead of the big move. Walking down the passage she heard “suspicious sounds”, and went to check where they were coming from. As she looked into the bedroom, Barker was shocked to find a couple having sex on her bed.

“A woman shrieked that the door should not be opened, so I took a glimpse and retreated to the lounge.

“Ten minutes later a disheveled gentleman joined me in the lounge and claimed to be a security guard employed to protect goods inside the house.”

Barker, a new DA MPL from Port Elizabeth, has since written to legislature speaker Noxolo Kiviet, demanding the security company be removed and a new bed purchased for her.

Legislature spokeswoman Bulelwa Ganyaza yesterday confirmed receipt of the complaint.

“We condemn the action and the disdain reflected in this regard. The speaker is equally shocked about the alleged conduct and we have therefore escalated the matter to the responsible department to take appropriate action,” said Ganyaza. Public works spokesman Sisanda George yesterday also received the complaint and said the department had ordered the security company to submit a report on the incident.

Speaking to the Daily Dispatch yesterday, Barker said she felt her rights to privacy and safety had been violated.

She said in addition to a new bed, she also wanted the locks to be changed and for the security company be held liable for all expenses.

“I went there with a friend to look at the place where I will be moving in. I was shocked when I discovered the couple using that house as their sex hotspot on Tuesday at around 11.15am.

“I found an open gate, but was not perturbed because the front door was locked. However, I heard suspicious sounds as I walked down the passage, and as I opened the main bedroom door I found an ‘otherwise engaged’ couple in my brand new bed.

Barker said the couple did not even hear her coming through the front door.

On further inspection, Barker discovered that the door to another bedroom was locked.

The security guard reportedly told her the key was with another man, who had left the premises. She believes that another person might have been staying in the state house.

The security guard yesterday refused to comment when approached by the Daily Dispatch, and the company could not be reached by late yesterday. — asandan@dispatch.co.za
