More drama for disgraced Ntiwane

Controversial Power of the Cross Ministries Pastor Zakhele Ntiwane has been served with a protection order from one of the church’s former members.

The member alleges Ntiwane has been sending her text messages threatening her with death and going to her home uninvited.

She said she feared for her life.

“I can confirm that I’ve served him with a protection order but police are the ones to comment on this,” said the woman.

East London police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala confirmed a protection order had been served on Ntiwane.

In another blow to the pastor, it has also been revealed that his wife Mbali has moved out of the couple’s Beacon Bay home.

Mbali secretly left the province about two weeks ago leaving behind her four children and is believed to be in Mpumalanga.

Ntiwane’s spiritual leader Dr Thomas Baloyi confirmed Mbali had left.

“I can confirm that the wife is not at home but I don’t know the reasons why she left and I don’t know her whereabouts,” Baloyi said.

Baloyi formed part of a five-member panel of church leaders allegedly assembled by Ntiwane to protect him from further embarrassment after he was allegedly involved in a sex scandal that divided the church.

A number of women told the Daily Dispatch they had sexual relations with Ntiwane.

It has also been alleged that Ntiwane was instructing the panel on what to do, but this was denied by Baloyi.

“The panel was not established or requested by him. The panel is there to correct him and to make sure he is not alone.”

It has further emerged that Ntiwane was trying to sell the church plot in Amalinda as a result of dwindling funds as members leave following the scandal.

“The money raised from the plot sale will buy his wife another house since she feels the one in which they are staying in has been a ‘sex harbour’,” said one source.

“An agent has been approached and the property is being sold silently.”

Another source, who formed part of the panel, said Ntiwane’s actions had been caused by greed, fame and “selfish fleshy” desires.
