Zuma off to Mozambique for a state visit

President Jacob Zuma will jet off to Mozambique on Wednesday to begin a two-day state visit.

The objective of the visit‚ at the invitation of President Filipe Nyusi‚ is “to consult on issues of mutual interest‚ in particular on bilateral‚ regional and continental co-operation”‚ a Presidency statement said.

Mozambique is South Africa’s top trading partner in Africa‚ and last year exports to Mozambique amounted to R32.6-billion‚ while imports from totalled R11.3-billion.

Zuma will be accompanied by the ministers of international relations‚ arts and culture‚ energy and environmental affairs.
