Channel24, South Africa's biggest entertainment site, in association with The Juice on Monday announced the nominees for the annual Channel24 Online Awards 2015.
Leading the pack with two nominations each are arch rivals AKA and Cassper Nyovest.
AKA has been nominated in the Best Twitter Account (Individual/Group/Band) category as well as the Golden Crown Award for Best Overall Online Presence.
Cassper has also received the nod, getting nominations in Best Celebrity Couple on Social Media along with his bae, Boity Thulo, and Best Youtube Channel/Video (Individual/Group/Band).
Channel24 editor, Herman Eloff, says that a panel of judges was tasked with the enormous job of selecting the nominees in each category.
"South Africa is rich in talent and our judges had a tough time choosing just a handful of people for each category. After weeks of careful analysis, we are excited that the second edition of the awards represents our growing entertainment industry more than ever before."
Bonang Matheba has also scored two nominations: one in the Best Celebrity Selfie category and Golden Crown category, with Khanyi Mbau, Minnie Dlamini, Pearl Thusi, Jeannie D and Amanda du-Pont also making the list.
The Juice editor, Jessica Levitt, says winners are based on public votes. "The entertainment industry is the fastest growing sector in the country. Our celebrities are being recognised for their talents and we wanted to give readers the chance to have a say in who they think deserves the award."
Voting closes on 24 November with winners being announced on 1 December.
