King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo was last night moved from the East London prison and admitted to Life St Dominics Hospital.

This was revealed by President of the Economic Freedom Fighters Julius Malema during his much-publicised visit to the King in prison today.

Malema and his entourage arrived to visit the King in prison at around midday when they were told by prison authorities that the King was not present.

Upon further inquiries Malema was told that Dalindyebo fell ill on Friday night and was rushed to hospital.

Malema left the prison facilities at 12.40pm and was met by members of the media and a group of about 30 local EFF supporters outside the prison facilities.

Addressing members of the media Malema said: "The King is not inside he has been admitted to hospital. We are keeping in contact with the family and we are now on our way to see him in hospital."

Malema further said friends will remain friends in good and bad times.

"Although he is in Jail the King remains of royal blood, he is not lesser of a human being and prison warders should also treat him like that," Malema said.

At St Dominics Hospital Malema was met by Eastern Cape prison boss Nkosinathi Breakfast who briefed him on the King's condition.

Although Breakfast confirmed Dalindyebo was in hospital but could not be drawn on any further details. - Zwanga Mukhuthu
