HRC to hear complaints from Khoisan communities

Four days of hearings into complaints regarding “access to basic services‚ land‚ and the constitutionality of the indigenous groups in South Africa” opens on Monday.

The South African Human Rights Commission’s national investigative hearing on human rights violations will be at the Sol Plaatjie University in Kimberly until Tuesday‚ before reconvening in Upington on Thursday and Friday.

Commissioners Dr Danny Titus and advocate Mohamed Shafie Ameermia will be among those presiding over the hearings into complaints received by the Khoisan communities — Khoi‚ San‚ Nama‚ Griqua and Koranna.
