Zuma arrives for mass funeral of ANC bus crash victims

President Jacob Zuma has just arrived in Katlehong on the East Rand to attend the mass funeral of the 10 ANC volunteers who died in a bus crash last Sunday.

The ANC supporters were travelling back to Johannesburg from Port Elizabeth on Sunday morning after attending the launch of the ANC’s election manifesto for the forthcoming local government elections when their bus crashed near Winburg in the Free State.

Thousands of ANC members have arrived for the funeral. Zuma was welcomed with song and dance.

Free state Premier Ace Magashula who is also in attendance told the gathered ANC members that the organisation should soldier on. He said the ruling party should remain united and not allow itself to be divided. He said members should respect its leadership.
