A man was pushed over the Magwa Falls by alleged vigilantes after they accused him of decapitating and dismembering another man in an apparent muti murder.
“He left home in a such jovial mood, saying he was going to town to buy some stuff. He had just been paid his salary,” she said.
“He did not come back and his phone was on voicemail.
“His body was found on Thursday when people smelt a bad smell in the forest.”
Her son, Makhentshwana, said: “The head was chopped off ... and lying metres away from the body. An arm was also chopped off and lying metres away.
“It was gruesome and barbaric.”
He said the family believed there was more than one killer.
Mzizangwa community leader Bhekeyakhe Somfiya said: “We fear that someone was going to perform a muti ritual with the body parts. We condemn this in the strongest terms. The two men were brutally murdered. We want the killers of both men to be arrested.”
