SPCAs in cash crunch appeal for urgent help

The East London and King William's Town SPCAs may have to close due to a "dire" financial crisis.

This is according to a press statement sent out by the NSPCA, which warned that clinic services at both facilities may be the first to be cut.

The NSPCA said the two SPCAs could also not afford to continue picking up and caring for strays because they were not receiving enough compensation from the municipality and put out an urgent appeal for cat and dog food as well as financial assistance.
