Ring of fire along N2 near Grahamstown

Authorities are battling fire along the N2 above Grahamstown this morning. 

With the wind picking up, the fire is burning along a 15km stretch.

Just two years ago, a similar fire in the area jumped roads and two houses burnt down then.

Fire trucks are driving along dirt roads at the top of Mountain Drive.

There are a few farms on the other side of the valley that may be under threat if south-easterly wind picks up.
