BREAKING: Hackers target the Guptas

Online hacktivist group Anonymous Africa is planning a cyber-attack against the Gupta family owned business empire at noon.

“In 30 min we will target the 2nd most corrupt family in SA (after the Zumas). So sit back‚ grab some popcorn and enjoy‚” the group warned on Twitter on Wednesday.

“At 12 the ANN7 website will be too busy landing at Waterkloof Denial of Service Airfield to see visitors. #TickTock”.

The group‚ which describes itself as an “African hacktivist collective”‚ has already claimed responsibility for taking down websites run by the South African Broadcasting Corporation on Sunday– in protest against censorship – and sites set up by the Economic Freedom Fighters and Zimbabwe’s Zanu-PF.

“We are going to send a message to the Guptas that almost every single South African has wanted to do since they corrupted the government‚” the group warned.

Anonymous Africa uses its technical knowledge to disrupt telecommunication as a form of protest to bring attention to the “crimes and corruption of bad leaders‚ corporations and governments around the African continent“. – Tiso Black Star Group Digital
