Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters had a stand-off with the police at the Union Buildings as they demanded entry to the premises in their bid to get President Jacob Zuma to resign.

Police formed a shield inside the gate but had to disperse the crowd using rubber bullets and stun grenades.

Journalists and photographers were caught in the crossfire‚ and had to duck for cover‚ dodging rocks and rubber bullets on Madiba Street.
