Two bodies were recovered by authorities in a Sibangweni village, near Mthatha this morning. A third person is currently in hospital.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela confirmed that two bodies were recovered by police.
He also confirmed that, judging by the wounds, it appeared as though the victims were beaten to death.
Fatyela said the deceased are believed to be aged 22 and 30. Their names cannot be revealed until their next of kin had been notified. No arrests have been made yet.
