Granny, 95, to move into first real house

A 95-year-old East London woman who has never had a proper house will soon move out of her one-room shack and into her newly built two-bedroom house in Boxwood.

Yoliswa Jawuka could not hide her excitement yesterday when the Daily Dispatch visited her.

While the former EFF provincial leader and MPL Themba Wele who built the house for the granny has a house in Kwakuni village, he still lives in a shack in Orange Grove.

Although her house still needs a few touch-ups, like painting inside and installing the door, Jawuka could not wait to have full access to it.
