The Economic Freedom Fighters has dismissed reports that its leader‚ Julius Malema‚ has been involved in a road accident as fake news.
It said in a statement that it ordinarily would not dignify fake news with a media release but had decided to issue one because of the volume of enquiries it had received‚ not just from the media but also relatives and close friends of Malema.
“Thus we would like to guarantee the entire public that those were malicious and incentive fake news.
“We also know that it may be the work of the enemy who may be testing waters to see what reaction would such news create‚ if real‚” the statement read.
