An Ndevana man has been sentenced to two life terms for raping his children, aged four and six.
The man, 33, cannot be named because he is related to his victims and their identity is being protected.
It was the state’s case that he physically and sexually assaulted his girlfriend, the mother of his two children whom he later also raped.
The crimes date back to October 2015.
The Commander for King William’s Town Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit, Lieutenant-Colonel Zitulele Mahlambeni, welcomed the sentence and hoped it would serve as a deterrent to would-be perpetrators. — DDR
