Steenhuisen said Ward 27 was a significant ward for the DA especially with their ambitions that include taking over Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
“You don't just wake up one day and win a municipality you work ward by ward. We did the same thing even with Nelson Mandela Bay,” said Steenhuizen.
Steenhuisen was accompanied by some of the BCM councillors that included constituency leader Kevin Mileham.
