Rapist accused denies allegations, despite DNA evidence

Ntsikelelo Mangala, who is on trial for a number of charges relating to rape, took the stand today and denied any knowledge of all the allegations forwarded against him.

This despite DNA expert and chief forensic analyst Lieutenant-Colonel Sharlee Otto submitting evidence identifies Mangala through DNA in nine of the cases.

Otto explained to the court how different samples from different rape cases some dating back to 2010 all matched the accused’s DNA profile Mangala, 37, faces 24 charges, which includes 10 counts of rape.
