Looker Kwankwa whips up a frenzy

United Democratic Movement (UDM) chief whip Nqabayomzi Kwankwa stole the limelight from President Jacob Zuma’s question and answer session on Wednesday, setting twitterati abuzz over his good looks.

Kwankwa threatened to steal EFF’s Mbuyiseni Ndlozi thunder as “The People’s Bae” (sweetie or crush), became an instant hit when he appeared on television to articulate his party’s position to parliamentarians.

Kwankwa had a captive audience of millions, who watched the televised parliamentary session to hear Zuma respond to the burning question of when he would pay back the money spent on non-security upgrades to his Nkandla home.

However, they quickly turned to Twitter to comment about Kwankwa’s looks, some calling him a “bae” and others asking whether he was married or asking for his contact details.

Radio DJ @RediTlhabi said: “Honourable member from UDM is honourably gorgeous. I didn’t hear what he was saying but I agree with him.”

To this @asandamagaqa responded by posting a picture of Kwankwa labelled “Exhibit A”.

“Ay that Nkwankwa is proper eye candy and the fact that he is calm made him hotter,” @NkosazanaJay said after Kwankwa’s surname was mispronounced on TV.

@MissDiko said: “The Honourable Nkwankwa of UDM is a looker! Dzam ! Eye candy. Plus he speaks sense”.

Most of the ladies who posted seemingly agreed with @RediTlhabi.

Yesterday Kwankwa was not available for comment.

@iThukela said: “Jonga (look), that Hon Nkwankwa ... He is HOT yeva (do you hear?)” “There is a Bae next door,” @NombuleloDlami3 commented alongside a picture of Kwankwa. @FundiswaMbuqe said: “Can honourable Nkwankwa rise on a point of order, PLEASE. I beg”.

@KhuhlaseKhondlo said: “Honourable Nkwankwa is deliciously good looking”. Later she said: “With the sexiness of @MbuyiseniNdlozi and Nkwankwa, one did the crime of forgetting about @MmusiMaimane.”

While Kwankwa was the “eye candy” in a snap poll by the Dispatch on social media with Kwankwa, Ndlozi, DA’s Mmusi Maimane and ANC’s Mcebisi Jonas, Ndlozi came up as the “ultimate people’s “bae”. — siyam@dispatch.co.za
