Top lawyer gives Luthuli House ultimatum to nullify #ANCECconference

Mthatha-based lawyer Mvuzo Notyesi has given ANC headquarters Luthuli House until Monday to nullify the outcome of the eighth Eastern Cape ANC provincial conference or face legal action.

This is contained in a letter dated October 5 that Notyesi wrote to the governing party’s highest decision-making body – the NEC, President Jacob Zuma and secretary-general Gwede Mantashe.

In the letter where Notyesi claims to be representing OR Tambo ANC branch leader Baxolile Kulu and others, he argues that the conference which elected Oscar Mabuyane as provincial chair was marred by irregularities including exclusion of legitimate delegates.
Wrote Notyesi: “We demand that you nullify the conference and organise (another) conference immediately, failing which we shall approach the court for review immediately.”
