SAFA-Buffalo City SAB Regional League side, Shiloh FC have withdrawn from the league citing ill-treatment by the regional football body.

However, more than a month after Shiloh pulling out, they remain in the 2015-16 season fixtures while no one from the Safa-BC office is prepared to explain the reasons behind it.

According to a letter the Daily Dispatch has in its possession, Shiloh withdrew from the league on October 8.

The withdrawal letter, penned by Shiloh boss Deon Vengadajellum cites four reasons for pulling out, which are:

l Safa-Buffalo City have not paid outstanding monies owed to Shiloh;

l The regional football authority have changed our homeground facility without any consultation or justification thereof;

l There are still outstanding DC matters from last season which have not yet been resolved; and

l “Outrageous” DC fines and demands for payments imposed on Shiloh by Safa-BC without formal procedures being followed.

Safa-BC executive officer Zukisani Tshoto who is responsible for running the league confirmed Shiloh’s withdrawal but was not willing to answer further questions saying “ask them ”.

The regional football body’s president Prince Sibam referred the Dispatch to Tshoto. “I have nothing to do with issues relating to the SAB League and clubs, Zukisani handles that and you should direct questions to him.”

Vengadajellum said his attempts to sell the club’s status were ignored by Safa-BC.

“We have not received any correspondence from Safa since we informed them of our withdrawal more than a month ago,” said Vengadajellum. “Now you tell me who wants to play where the father does not want to speak to the son .”

According to Vengadajellum, his players decided enough is enough with the beautiful game after travelling for “mahala for five away matches last season”.

They would be at the venue, he said, only for the match to be postponed due to the unavailability of match officials.

“To this day we still have not received reimbursement for the costs we incurred during those matches that never took place.

“To be honest we were frustrated out of the league, a league by all accounts that is a real joke.”

Sibam said the regional executive committee will meet on Sunday with the Shiloh debacle among issues top of the agenda.
