Ndlazi not thinking about retiring yet

After failing to guide Gauteng champions Maccabi FC to the National First Division former national U23 coach Kenny Ndlazi believes he still has about five years of coaching left in him.

Ndlazi identified a poor mental strength and poor fitness levels as the two reasons they failed to gain promotion after they failed to win in the ABC Motsepe playoffs.

"We have to go back to the drawing board. Don't forget the team is two years old and hopefully with the hands of God, go back to Maccabi and come back in this tournament and be a better team," he said.

Asked how much more time he still has in being in the hot seat, Ndlazi smiled and said he still has things to offer to the game.

"I don't know, as long as my brain and legs can still carry me. You know in football you continue learning. If you stop learning don't coach because football changes from time to time.

"You have to adjust, you have to look at it, you have to do your research and say 'wait it's changing' and acclimatise on that.

"I'm sure I'm still there a little bit maybe the next three, four, five years. I'm 65 now. I don't know if God can keep me another three-four years, maybe," he said.
