Excitement  is beginning to reach fever pitch with the Proteas return to East London for their One-Day International match against Bangladesh just barely over a week away.

Ticket sales are heating up and Border Cricket CEO, Thando Booi, cautioned spectators about waiting too long to purchase their match tickets.

“Don’t delay and wait for the last minute to purchase for Sunday’s ODI,” said Booi.

“Tickets sales were moving faster than Rabada’s quickest ball and we are expecting a sellout crowd.”

This will be the Proteas first appearance in East London since January 2015 where fans were treated to a dominant display from the hosts as they crushed the West Indies in double quick time.

Fans will hope for a more challenging match this time around and they could find that in the form of Bangladesh.

Although the visitors have been crushed in the just concluded two- Test series against the Proteas, their shorter format game is a lot better.

Earlier this year Bangladesh competed in the Champions Trophy for the first time since 2006 and then surprised everyone by qualifying for the semifinals ahead of the more fancied Australian and New Zealand sides.

With the match being the third and final one-dayer of the series, an ideal situation would see the two teams coming into the game with the series on the line, which would make for a thrilling conclusion.

“The Proteas are on a mission to get back to number one in the ICC ODI rankings so they need our support to help them get there,” said Booi.

Tickets are available from the ticket office at Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium between 9am and 4.30pm daily as well as from Ticketpros at www.ticketpro.co.za.

Ticket prices are: Ground entry Adults – R150 and ground entry Pensioner/Scholar/Student – R80

Supporters Club tickets are also available for the match at R550 and West Stand for R350.
