EFF leaders wield heavy hand in internal election

A simple procedural change could have stopped the Economic Freedom Fighters’ ( EFF’s) conference from descending into chaos.

Voting for the powerful central command team by a show of hands fuelled tensions among delegates on Monday amid allegations that candidates presented by regional leaders to their provincial leaders had been unilaterally rejected by party leader Julius Malema and the newly elected top six, with a new list of names being “imposed”.
