Eastern Cape EMS official stabbed to death

An Eastern Cape ambulance official was stabbed to death on Monday morning while attending an emergency call at Woodlands near Kareedouw.

EMS manager Dominic Francis confirmed the incident to The Herald.

“It is with great sadness that I report the death of one of our EMS staffers who was attacked and stabbed in the neck while attending to a call-out in Woodlands area.”

Monday’s incident was the second attack on EMS officials in the Kareedouw area in the last couple of months. This follows a string of attacks on ambulance officials in the Eastern Cape last year.
