The Mdantsane Access road or Black Road remains closed between Sunnyside intersection and Woolwash intersection because parallel to that 2km stretch of road, clashes between angry Egoli residents and riot police continue.
Traffic authorities have advised motorists who want to use the road which links the Mdantsane and East London to use the Amalinda main road, Cambridge main road or Voortrekker road as alternative routes.
Friday marks day two since the residents took to the streets to protest for government houses.
