Mayor fights for her life

One person has died and Amathole District Municipality (ADM) mayor Nomfusi Winnie Nxawe was fighting for her life in hospital after she was critically injured in a car accident on Friday afternoon.
Nxawe was involved in an crash involving two vehicles on a the stretch of road between King William’s Town and Alice.
This was confirmed late on Friday by ADM spokeswoman Noni Madikizela-Vuso who said the district municipality was “shocked and saddened” by the tragic incident.
She said there were more people injured but had not details.
“ADM would like to convey its condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes those who, along with the executive mayor, are critically injured, a speedy recovery,” Madikizela-Vuso said...
