Young royal brutally slain

The Majeke royal family is mourning the death of one of its young royals after he was found hacked and stabbed to death, a day after the inauguration and royal enrobing of a senior family member in Qumbu.
Family spokesperson Reverend Harris Majeke said Chasamabhulu Majeke, 32, had been found lying in a pool of blood with multiple wounds during the early hours of Saturday.
His body was found about 12 hours after Thembani Majeke was enrobed and inaugurated as the head of the AmaBhele Traditional Council at his Sibangweni Great Place near Qumbu on Friday.
Although the Majeke royal family is badly divided over who is the true heir to the chieftainship of the AmaBhele Traditional Council, feuding factions of the royal family were devastated over the tragedy.
They have been divided since 2010 after two claimants – Thembani and Mzuzile Majeke – both disputed the leadership of MaBhelonke, each saying they were the legitimate heir.
Mzuzile's claim was quickly dismissed by the Mdende Commission.
Mzuzile has since supported Thembani's claim against MaBhelonke. Chasamabhulu was Mzuzile’s son.
Thembani’s supporter, Majeke, and Phumzile, who supports his brother MaBhelonke, acknowledge that “as people of the same blood they should be united in mourning as death supersedes all the infighting”.
They described Chasamabhulu as “humble and respectful”.
“He rose above family politics and advocated for peace and unity among the royal family,” said Phumzile.
