Summer is officially over. Here is a list of activities to help you and your loved ones ease into the chilly season.

Book Launch

FOUNDER and editor of Vanguard Magazine Panashe Chigumadzi will be launching her debut novel, Sweet Medicine, at the Steve Biko Centre in Ginsberg tonight. Event starts at 6pm. To RSVP, contact (043)605-6700.

Gospel sounds

PRAISE and worship singer Sthe Meveni will be live at the Legends Showcase Venue tomorrow from 6.30pm. Admission is R80, tickets are available at Lee Gold Music or at the door. No alcohol.

Freedom of expression

COCKTAIL opening of Les dessins en Liberte/ Cartoons for Freedom at Ann Bryant Coach House from 6.30pm tonight. This exhibition aims to broaden perspective by illustrating the manner in which freedom of expression today comes into play. Exhibition concludes on April 23.

Biblical production

FROM Monday, Hudson Park Schools will present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Guild Theatre at 7pm. The show is directed by award-winning director Pierre Perold. Tickets at R80 from Computicket.

Scenic hike

ON SUNDAY, meet at the Nahoon Beach Lifesaver’s Parking Lot for the Nahoon Beach and Forest Walk from 7.30am. Hikers will be guided on a circular and scenic path over the dunes and across the beach, starting and ending at the Nahoon Lifesaver’s Shack (about two-and-a-half hours). Bring water, snacks and sunblock as it will be a leisurely walk, lots of photos to be taken. Afterwards you could have a swim at Nahoon Beach or brunch at the Breakers. House party

Afrotainment musician Joocy of Thandekile fame will be live at Jeff’s place this Saturday from 5pm till late, entrance R40.
