Post: Requirements/Experience

1 Sister in Charge: Registered Qualified Nurse.

Must have a valid driver’s license.Duties: Administration, Staff Management. Overall management of well-being of residents. Provide basic medical care to residents, including administering and record keeping of medication register. Family Planning. Ensure full compliance with legislation.Medication collection and control. Participate in events that form part of the holistic programme of the Centre.

2 House Mother(2 positions):  Nursing qualification

Responsible for the overall functioning of a hostel, i.e. resident care, emotional support,household responsibilities. Health care of residents, including administering of medication.Must be able to work shifts. Must be able to sleep in when needed. Assist residents and help with problem solving and limited counselling when needed. Responsible for some functions i.e. birthday parties. Ensure that house rules are adhered to. Responsible for personal hygiene of residents. Supervision of hostel staff. Participate in events that form part of the holistic programme of the Centre.

2 Carer:   Care giver qualification

Responsible for residential care in the ECU unit, which include but is not limited to generalhealth care, cleaning services, hygiene services.

Notes:

1. Experience in dealing with Intellectually Impaired Adults will be an added advantage
