Krugersdorp's Leroux Steyn was on Wednesday sentenced to an effective 25-year prison term after agreeing to a plea bargain with the state over a spate of murders on Gauteng’s West Rand.

Five people - including his mother and sister - were charged with murdering 11 people from 2012 to 2016‚ robbery‚ aggravated assault‚ racketeering‚ possession of an unlicensed firearm‚ fraud and identity theft.
