EC royal couple arrested for assault

AmaRharhabe royal family member and chief of Fort Marie village Andile Makinana and his wife, Babalwa Limise, were arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting a young man.
The case was opened by 19-year-old Bulelani Simelela at Ndevana police station. It is alleged that Makinana and his wife allegedly went on a rampage and beat up the youngster and other village boys with a sjambok during a violent interrogation. This is after the couple's great place was allegedly broken into and valuable goods were stolen.
Police spokeswoman Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said the couple was arrested on Monday May 28 and appeared at the Zwelitsha Magistrate's Court.
Mawisa said the royal couple were each released on R500 bail. “The case was opened on Thursday 24 May and the suspects were arrested in the early hours of Monday 28th.” They appeared at Zwelitsha Court the same day for assault GBH..
