A man has been charged with illegally circumcising two Alice boys and terrorising them.
It has been alleged that the man had accused the two boys of stealing dagga from his patch.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Khaya Tonjeni confirmed the incident and arrest.
Tonjeni said: “A 35-year-old-suspect, Lonwabo Zele, appeared in the Seymour Magistrate’s Court on Monday facing a charge of contravention of initiation practices, kidnapping, attempted murder and pointing with a firearm.
“This follows after the suspect was arrested on Saturday after two boys were kidnapped and mutilated in their genitals.
“The case has been postponed to February 5 while the suspect remains in custody'' said Tonjeni.” – DDC..
