Covid-19: EC district breakdown of cases and deaths

Port Elizabeth's confirmed coronavirus case number is rapidly increasing, with 431  Covid-19 cases and eight deaths confirmed. 

The provincial health department on Friday released its updated case breakdown, by district, including cases and deaths.

The province now has a total of 929 confirmed cases, with 388 recoveries, according to health MEC Sindiswa Gomba

Buffalo City now has 187 cases, with four deaths.

Chris Hani district remains the province's third highest infection zone, with 127 recorded cases and two deaths.

OR Tambo district is at 77 cases, with two deaths. Alfred Nzo district has 22 cases, with no fatalities. Sarah Baartman district now has 17 cases and no deaths. Amathole district has 15 cases, with 2 deaths, and Joe Gqabi still has eight cases and no Covid-19 related deaths.
