Mandla Mandela mourns the passing of his maternal grandmother

Barely two days after the passing of Nelson Mandela's daughter Zindzi Mandela, the struggle icon's family mourns another death of their loved one.

Anna Gadikaenyana Mosehle, maternal grandmother of Mandla Mandela, died on Wednesday in Soweto, Johannesburg. Mandla is Mandela's eldest grandson and the head of Mandela chiefdom in Mvezo.

Mosehle was the mother of Mandla's mother, Nolusapho Mandela, who was married to Nelson Mandela's son Makgatho.

''It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of my beloved maternal grandmother Anna Gadikaenyana Mosehle. Robala ka kgotos moradi oa Phasha Nkoane!" said Mandla.

“The passing of those near and dear to us is never easy but we bear their passing with forbearance and immense gratitude for the time together that we were blessed with.”
