KwaBhaca wellness centre is an innovative private psychiatric facility based in Mount Frere, offering short-term and day options. The residence functions as voluntary- private hospitalisation unit, to stabilise clients and prevent relapse. The unit goals are of guiding, accepting and facilitating self-empowerment of patients living with psychiatric conditions. Kwa Bhaca is looking for Registered nurses with experience, an interest and passion for psychiatry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintaining the vision and values of Kwa Bhaca wellness centre

• Interact with residents and encourage their positive mental health and personal wellbeing

• Evaluate patient needs and accommodate them accordingly

• Assisting with day-to-day supervision of the residents

• Supervising the sub-ordinates

• Running Therapeutic groups

• Ensuring appropriate clinical record keeping and feedback to the managing Registered Nurse

• Administer/ dispense prescribed medication

• Overseeing day-to-day running of the wards

Desired Experience & Qualification

•Registered Sisters and /Enrolled Nurses, registered with SANC.

•5 Years or more psychiatric rotation experience as a Registered or Enrolled nurse

•Registered nurses with psychiatric specialisation preferable

•English/Xhosa (Speak, read and write)
